“Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, and angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.’ And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: ‘Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!'” Luke 2:8-14

Christmas is hands down one of our favorite holidays, and not just because we get to spend a little extra time with our friends and family (though that is huge!). Christmas is the time when we reflect on the monumental sacrifice God made when He sent His one and only Son to be born of a virgin, Mary. Through His sacrifice, we are then able to be reconciled to Him once again and have the relationship for which we were created restored.

On Christmas day, we suggest you take a few moments to share the birth story of Christ with your family and friends. Encourage them to converse about what Christmas actually means to them, and maybe even share a story or two on how God faithfulness in your life has brought you to where you are today!

We hope you have a very Merry Christmas! May the Lord bless you and keep you this holiday!
